A system, not a single equation

Build the chamber-to-pump path you actually need to review

Knudsenpath combines geometry, empirical restrictions, gas properties, pressure-speed data, and gas load in one local project. Every result stays tied to the assumptions that produced it.

01

Assemble the path

Add straight tubes, elbows, apertures, valves, and custom components. Disable an element without deleting its record.

02

Screen each regime

Review Knudsen number, molecular and viscous limits, screened conductance, and long-tube boundary findings.

03

Enter the real curve

Use pressure-speed points and ultimate pressure instead of treating a pump as one fixed nominal number.

04

Include the gas load

Combine leaks and surface outgassing, inspect the Q/S floor, and see why a target may not be reachable.

Compare before changing hardware

See whether the candidate earns its complexity

Overlay pumpdown traces and compare conductance, chamber speed, Q/S floor, and target time. Diameter and pump-speed sensitivity sweeps expose where another change still matters.

Bounded by design

Useful estimates require honest limits

Knudsenpath is a planning and documentation aid. It does not control equipment, certify a design, replace gas-specific manufacturer curves, predict every transition-flow geometry, or substitute for measured commissioning and qualified engineering review.

The bundled projects are labeled synthetic examples. Replace them with measured geometry, supplier data, and project-specific gas-load assumptions.
